The experiment I did with SEO DICTIONARY I have on my website.
really «Dictionary SEO» is not a keyword that has a lot of competition, but it is a section that have many blogs SEO and marketing because it is one of the top searches that people do when they want to start getting into the world of the SEO. Therefore, the search results are taken over by webs of authority sector.
Anyway, I sensed that they had, at the least the vast majority of these sites, it was only a page or post with a huge list of terms, but in any case static pages and not a category.
Here’s an example:

Then I thought: in addition to position myself for the keyword «SEO dictionary» I want to position myself for each of the terms of this sector. And for that I need a URL for each of these terms. Ie a post about each one who can answer that query in Google results.

But I also want to position myself for «dictionary SEO». For that, I created a category in which text will be displayed optimized for the keyword «SEO dictionary» and a list of these items.
Thus, I am creating a very similar content to which Google has already positioned other websites, but I’m also including at each end of that list a call for registration of the meta description of the SEO by Yoast.
What are we getting this?

The case is working and is positioning itself, because we also have the freshness factor (fresh content and regular).
Every time I publish a new post with your meta description, this category page of the SEO dictionary is automatically updated, without me having to do anything and unique content are the descriptions goal and give Google signals freshness of who have no other static pages that are positioned for the search «dictionary SEO».
